Meeting Minutes

As the legislative branch of the City of Rockport government, the City Council holds open public meetings where local laws, policies, and basic decisions for the city are discussed and decided. City Council members are elected at large.

Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Minutes are posted after being approved at the next month's meeting.

A resolution declares the city's position or policy. You may find resolutions adopted by the Rockport City Council here.

An ordinance is a local law. It is generally more formal and authoritative than a resolution. You can find ordinances the council has approved under the Code Compliance tab.
